What a gorgeous day ... I love this early autumn weather - especially days like today that are crisp and clear. I went to see the play Mary Stuart by Friedrich Schiller produced by Soulpepper Theatre this afternoon so planned my day around that. The reviews were not great, but I enjoyed it. Soulpepper is located in Toronto's Distillery District - always a lot of fun. This is one of the things I enjoy most about going to Soulpepper - I always go early and browse around. Some days it is really busy - many of Toronto's music festivals are either held there or they participate by having some of their venues host events. The Distillery District also has a lot of great galleries and shops. Two of my favourites - Balzac Coffee and Soma Chocolatemaker. I shopped in both today picking up birthday gifts for a couple of friends with September birthdays. I also bought some coffee and chocolate for myself of course.
I'm rather happy to be home tonight ... I have homemade soup ready, a pot of Balzac coffee, the Saturday papers spread around me, this week's MacLeans Magazine and several books. Already the evening is half over and I am just now ready to relax. Time flies when you're having fun.
