Lost Brooch

I bought a beautiful silver brooch at a craft show just before Christmas. It is a sort of abstract tree with a pearl. It really caught my eye and I just had to buy it. It wasn't an expensive piece. I wore it a couple of times before Christmas. Sometime during the holiday, I realized it was not with the rest of my jewellery. I honestly couldn't remember noticing that I'd lost it - it was just gone. I wondered if I had accidentally thrown it out or if it had fallen off my clothing while I was wearing it. Eventually, I just accepted that I'd lost the brooch and forgot about it. Then this morning when getting dressed for work, I grabbed my blue turtleneck to put on. I felt something on the collar - looked - and there was the brooch, pinned to the neck. I was so happy to see it - I must have realized it was on the collar when I put the sweater away. I have wondered more than a few times lately if i am losing my mind!

I have had 2 odd similar occurrences -- one with a cougar brooch and another with a diamond solitaire pendant -- both were lost to me for two years (separate instances) and then found. Still can't figure it out!
