With all the 'reality' TV out there I often think there is not much good on TV. I've recently discovered a couple of TV shows that are changing my mind. I love these shows -
(1) Desperate Housewives - it is hilarious. A great cast and smart, funny writing.
(2) Arrested Development is another great find.
(3) Corner Gas - I watched this Canadian show for the first time last week - now in it's second season. I'm a big fan. Very low key and quite funny.
Mike will tell you they are just substitutes for hockey but I'd watch 'em anyway.
I am so ashamed of myself--I am a bad blogging friend. HAPPY THANKSGIVING one day late. My only excuse is that I was busy having a parental melt-down.

Great shows! Wish we could see Canadian TV here... but we can't. BOO hoo Thanks for your recommendations. <---gosh that is a long word!

I'm ashamed, too. Thanksgiving in Canada was my favorite holiday. I spent many of them soaking in the hot tub at Harrison Hot Springs, BC.
"Desperate Housewives" is one of the few bright spots in an otherwise bleak TV season. You're right about the smart, funny writing.
"Arrested Development" is just as funny, but Fox has done little to promote it.
I can't see "Corner Gas" here in SC. I wish that I could. The only Canadian show we see here is "Red Green". It would be funny but I got my fill of Steve Smith's shtick years ago when he and Morag did "Smith and Smith".

I watch very little television - but I am already hooked on Desperate Housewives. I shall try and watch Corner Gas next week.

Arrested Development is so absurd and great. By the end of each episode I'm usually laughing so much I miss half the dialogue.
