I had 1 vacation day left from the 2005 allotment - we are not really allowed to carry them over so I used the last one up today and had a long weekend. I had a very girly day. Slept in (bliss), read the paper and went for a walk in almost spring like weather. I then went for groceries - took the luxurious route of going to three store for the best selection of fresh produce. I got a wonderful take-out salad. Then off to the spa for a manicure and pedicure - and - waxing. First time I've had that last procedure - it was a piece of cake. I'd been dreading the waxing - everyone says it is so painful - not at all. Now I am home with all these great fruits and veggies and fresh fish. I've just roasted cauliflower and steamed broccoli. I'll do a piece of fish on the George Foreman grill along with some veggies (peppers, zucchini) and make a salad. For dessert - red and green grapes. There may even be a glass of wine leftover from last night. This has been a simple and satisfying day - it almost feels like my birthday (it is not).
