Or, more commonly known as an 'ice cap'. I am hopelessly addicted. These are summertime drinks made from coffee, ice and thick cream. While I don't know the number, I think each one has a million calories. A couple of years ago, when I was training for a marathon and able to consume what seemed like unlimited calories, I used to have one of these everyday at lunchtime. Our office complex is blessed with a Tim Hortons coffee shop in the concourse. Last year, I did not let myself have even one of these - like with any addiction, one and I am back in its grip. Today, I came very close - my guard was almost down, lulled by the sunshine and fresh air, I went to the Tim Hortons counter and managed to get the words 'I'll have a medium ...' when the clerk (evil woman) filled in the rest of the sentence with 'ice cap?'. Without thinking I said 'yes, an ice cap'. Then I caught myself. No - a regular coffee. I had the regular coffee - and it was good. All I can think of though is an ice cap. Lord, give me strength - it's going to be a long, hot summer.
Note : Tim Horton's nuitritional literature says a 10 oz Ice Cap has 250 calories. You can get one made with milk for 150 calories (although I say why bother)
Merry Christmas everybody!!!

I just started working at Tim Hortons a few months ago, and I love it there, maybe my Tim Hortons is not like everyone elses, If something falls on the ground from the back we immediatly throw it out, I get two paid for breaks when I'm working but if I do overnights I can have as many breaks as I want as long as I get my work done, the managers are actually nice where I am as are the people. I don't know how many calories are in the Ice capps tho.

hi, i red some of ur stories and i really like it cuz i can totally see my self as an addiccted person to iced capp too!!! however, the strangest thing happened to me today... u see, my first language its spanish, but i think my english is pretty understandable... anyways, i always go to tim hortons and ask for an iced capp, and they always give me an iced capp... HOWEVER, today i went to the yonge and bloor tim hortons and i asked for an iced capp, but they gave a weird brownish iced capp, i could totally see the difference before i tasted it!! well, i tasted and IT WAS F... NASTY, IT WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND it had too much sugar on it... anyway, i asked the man if they were changing the way they make the iced capp but he said that it was the same, only the cap had changed... he said: WE HAVE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF ICED CAPP, ONE WITH MILK AND THE OTHER ONE WITH CREAM.... so im like (wth?) what??!... i never knew that!! i was totally shocked!! when did this happen? hahhaha.... anyways, i told him that i didnt want that one, i want THE REGULAR ONE! THE ONE I ALWAYS ORDER IN THE SAME TIM, AND THE ONE THEY ALWAYS GIVE ME!!! ... so, he decided to give me another one.... when i saw the cap, IT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME ICED CAPP HE GAVE ME BEFORE!!!! WTH!?!?! ... i told him that i didnt like that one, i wanted the regular one, HE TOTALLY IGNORED ME AND CALLED PPL BEHIND MEEE!! WTH?!?!? i was totally pissed and i didnt know what to do so i left, but i felt so bad...
anyways, im just writing this to ask u all iced capp addictes ... DID U KNOW THAT THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF ICED CAPP???!!!
PLZ ANSWER ME BACK!! yharlin@hotmail.com

how bout this guys..
this is twenty times easier..
you go to walmart and get the great value brand of french vanilla instant cappuccino.. its like $1.93 its a 16 oz can and it has 0g of trans fat..
you mix a couple teaspoons of this with some water and milk and some sugar..
i dont have a exact recipe i just throw in indgredients every time.. so keep taste testing it till you get it how you want it then.. put it in the blender with some ice.. and there you go..
its so easy..
you can even use equal if you want..
and its a 1.93!! you just combine it with simple household ingredients and its easy and quick.

I too am addicted to Tim Hortons iced caps. I am going to try to create one by making a simple syrup (sugar and water boiled and cooled) and adding it to strong black coffee and then freezing it. Sugar won't freeze hard but will be shlussy. Then I'll add some cream to that mixture and mix it up. I think that's all it will take. I'll let you know. I got the idea from the ingredients on coffe ice cream which tastes exactly like the iced cap. All it contains is coffee, sugar, cream and an egg (to thicken it). Will leave the egg out of the iced cap!

This is going to seem a bit weird but I have to find out. I absolutely love my Ice Caps but they have a bizarre affect on me. I want to know if anyone else has this problem. First I have to clarify that I always have my ice cap with milk and I don't have any problems with milk. Here it is....everytime I have an ice cap it acts like a 'super laxative'. It's not the same as coffee. Within a few minutes my gut starts to churn and gurgle then I have to get to the the bathroom in a hurry. I won't get into more detail. This happens EVERY time. It's because of this that I have tried to quit drinking them and I only have them occasionally. What on Earth could be in them to do this and has anyone else experienced this?

Tim Hortons uses half and half for the ice capps, you can see the employees pushing the buttons and then going around the corner and putting the frozen ice mixture in the cup and then mix it with a blender. For less calories they use milk or choc. milk ask for it instead and save a few thousand calories!!!
