Yesterday I finally gave the Thea Gilmore CD a break from my car CD player - it had been continuously playing since I returned from vacation. I bought several CD's in London that are not available in Canada. So yesterday I played another one purchased in London - this by Australian Ed Kuepper.
I first became acquainted with Ed Kuepper's music several years ago - I worked with an Australian consultant on a project. We were both very interested in music and had (still have) large music collections. We started a music swap. We would each pick out 8-10 CD's from our collection and do an exchange for a week or two. His CD's always arrived noting the time of day (day or night) best suited for listening.
Most of us probably choose the music we listen to somewhat instinctively - I do anyhow - before meeting this guy I don't think I consciously chose according to day or night - I think I do more so now. I like this way of describing music.
Ed Kuepper is wonderful - I had forgotten just how much I enjoy his music. Its definitely night music.
